Board of Directors and Committees
The Turning Point Workforce Development Board (WDB) is a Board of Directors composed of twenty-five (25) leaders from the private and public sectors. This organization has the authority to determine how federal JobLink Career Center, Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and state Employment and Training funds are used in the Region. The board reviews, monitors and evaluates all programs and services and awards contracts.
The staff monitors the progress of the programs, coordinates planning and provides technical assistance to contractors and provides support to the WDB. Committees of the Board are: Executive, Economic Development, Finance, Personnel, WIA, Green, Sustainability and Youth Program Design. These groups meet separately to discuss any issues, review documents or bring forward ideas to the full Board that may pertain to their specific areas.
